These are the Best T-Mobile Phones to buy in October: Apple, Samsung, OnePlus, and more!

If you’re renewing your T-Mobile contract or planning to switch over for the fastest and most reliable 5G network in the country, then you may also want to pick up a new phone along the way. There are a lot of excellent options for you to choose from. Whether it’s the best Android flagship, best budget option, or best phone period, T-Mobile has something for you. Here’s our handy guide to help you with your decision.

Navigate this guide:

Best T-Mobile phone for most people: Apple iPhone 13

iPhone 13 back

The Apple iPhone 13 is the best smartphone for most T-Mobile subscribers. It uses Apple’s new A15 Bionic chip to offer unmatched performance. In addition, the phone is excellent value for money as it’s increasingly becoming typical for flagship smartphone prices to cross the $1,000 barrier. Of course, the Pro iPhones add many bells and whistles that sound enticing, but not everyone needs them or cares for them.

Apart from a powerful SoC, Apple has packed in an upgraded dual-camera system that takes fantastic photos. There’s also a bigger battery on board, allowing the phone to last through a day easily.

While the full price of the iPhone 13 starts at $799, you can get significant discounts from T-Mobile by trading in an older device, activating a new line, and ordering the phone on a monthly payment plan.

Best T-Mobile premium flagship phone: Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

The Galaxy S21 Ultra in black

If you want a phone with not the most absolute cutting-edge bells and whistles smartphone hardware, then the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is it. It’s got a screen that’s larger, brighter, more pixel-dense with a faster refresh rate than the iPhone 12, and its main camera system has four cameras covering the widest focal length spectrum of any smartphone right now. Whether it’s a sweeping ultra-wide landscape shot, a telephoto portrait-style shot, or a 10x zoom, the S21 Ultra can produce a crisp, beautiful image.

The Galaxy S21 Ultra also has the most powerful SoC in Android right now — the Snapdragon 888 — along with support for Samsung features such as the S-Pen and DeX. Other than folding in half, there isn’t a single new smartphone feature that isn’t in this phone.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is the apex slab smartphone with every feature imaginable. It's not cheap but if you have the money to spend, this is the best possible slab phone you can buy.

Also great: Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max

iPhone 13 Pro Max

While the iPhone 13 is an excellent phone for most people, the iPhone 13 Pro Max is the best of what Apple can offer right now. Compared to the iPhone 13, you get a higher refresh rate screen, a Pro camera system with an additional telephoto lens, and the biggest ever battery in an iPhone. Like every iPhone 13 model, you also get a premium construction, excellent screen, and a massively powerful SoC.

If money is no object and you have no problem handling a 6.7 inch iPhone, the iPhone 13 Pro Max is a no-brainer.

    Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max
Although the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max’s full price starts at $1,099, you can save up to $1,000 on T-Mobile by trading in your older smartphone, activating a new line, and buying the phone on a monthly payment plan.

Best mid-range T-Mobile phone: Samsung Galaxy A52 5G

Featuring a 6.5 inch, 90Hz Samsung AMOLED display, 5G connectivity and a solid 64MP main camera, the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G brings a lot to the table for a mid-range phone that costs half the price of the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The phone also comes in vibrant fun colors, and IP67 water and rust resistance, and 25W fast wired charging with the charging brick included in the box.

There are some compromises of course, including a plasticky body and a pair of mostly pointless depth-and macro-sensors, but it’s a fair trade-off for the lower price. This is a phone that gives you the essentials.

Best T-Mobile foldable phone: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3

Samsung continues to invest significantly in its foldable smartphones, the result of which is visible in the company’s latest foldable flagship — the Galaxy Z Fold 3. It isn’t a massive upgrade over the Galaxy Z Fold 2, but the new phone focuses on the thing that matters the most in a foldable right now — durability. That’s why it’s our pick for the best foldable phone you can buy on T-Mobile.

The Z Fold 3 features a new PET-based screen protector that’s said to be significantly more robust than the one present on the Z Fold 2. The hinge has also been upgraded. In addition, the Fold 2 is IPX8 water-resistant. Another highlight of the phone is its S Pen support. It’s the first foldable to support a stylus.

    Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 starts at $1,799 if you pay full price. But thanks to ongoing promotions, you can save up to $1,000 when you trade in an older smartphone, get a new line, and buy the phone on a monthly payment plan.

Best T-Mobile budget phone: OnePlus Nord N200

OnePlus Nord N200 5G

Priced at $216 on T-Mobile (and with a two-year monthly installment plan of just $9), the OnePlus Nord N200 is the second cheapest phone on this list. While you can’t expect flagship components here at this price point, you’re still getting a modern design with slim bezels wrapping around a 6.5 inch 90Hz screen, and a Snapdragon 480 SoC that supports 5G connectivity.

You also get a huge 5,000 mAh battery that all but guarantees at least a day and a half battery life. Although the 4GB of RAM and UFS 2.1 storage means this phone won’t zip around as quickly as higher-priced phones on this list.

    OnePlus Nord N200 5G
The OnePlus Nord N200 5G is one of the cheapest 5G phones in the US right now, and you get a nice modern design, a high refresh screen, and a huge battery with the package.

Also great: T-Mobile Revvl V Plus 5G

T-Mobile Revvl V Plus

If you really want a new phone at the lowest price possible, T-Mobile has a 5G ready handset named Revvl V Plus that costs just $199 or $8.34 a month over 24 months. The Revvl V Plus runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 700, and packs a huge screen (6.8 inches, HD+ LCD) and battery (5,000 mAh) along with a 16MP main camera.

We like the color scheme and the flat sides of the device, but the bezels look a bit dated compared to the similarly priced OnePlus Nord N200.

    T-Mobile Revvl V Plus
The T-Mobile Revvl V Plus is one of the cheapest 5G phones that works on T-Mobile's networks.

Ever since T-Mobile’s merger with Sprint, its networks have upgraded to provide even stronger and faster networks, so picking any of these phones will ensure you get the best possible speeds. We’re partial to the Galaxy S21 Ultra for its world-beating cameras, but the iPhone 13 and Galaxy A52 5G are also excellent daily drivers. We’ll update this list regularly so check back for the latest list!
